Wendy Corona is a news anchor and reporter for WSB-TV Atlanta from Cox Media Group. She joined them in 2013 and anchors Channel 2 Action & Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat on weekends together with Craig Lucie.

- Corona did emergency coverage continuously throughout Katrina & Wilma hurricane disasters, and also extensive reporting on reuniting an African refugee to her long-lost family members in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

- She later became the morning anchor at Local 10, an ABC affiliate in Miami. There she teamed up with Robin Roberts to support the Women’s Heart Health initiative.
- Following that she became an evening anchor in Houston, Texas, at KPRC-TV in April 2006.
- Wendy worked as a freelance news reporter with WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas, for five months in 2012.
- She moved to WSB-TV to her current role in 2013 & has remained there since.
- In June 2017, Wendy won her first Emmy in the Southeast Regional category for Outstanding Human Interest – News Series.
Lawsuit Troubles :
- Corona previously sued KPRC Channel 2 for breach of contract and defamation.
- According to reports, KPRC had signed a 4-year contract with Wendy that allowed them to terminate the contract within the first 2 years with 90 days’ notice.
- However, she was allegedly given no notice from the station’s general manager.
- She was informed of the dissolution one day before the news went public. Unfortunately, she lost the lawsuit for $3.2 million, after which WFAA-TV hired her as a freelancer.
