King Von was an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He was known for standout songs like “Problems”, “War Wit Us” and “Crazy Story.” The Chicago native was signed to Lil Durk‘s Only The Family Records (OTF). The two grew up together. King Von was born Dayvon Bennett on August 9, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois. He repped O’Block – the 6400 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Prior to rapping, Von spent several years in prison. He faced tough charges ranging from attempted murder to murder.

King Von began his rap career in 2018. He was a member of the OTF collective headed by his good friend Lil Durk. His OTF labelmates included Chief Wuk, Booka600, Hypno Carlito, and Yung Tory. Rapper Lud Foe was a former member of the crew. In June 2018, King Von appeared on the track “Beat Dat Body” by THF Bay Zoo. His solo track “Problems” dropped in July 2018. It was featured on the album Lil Durk Presents: Only The Family Involved, Vol. 1 (2018). The album featured guest vocal from YFN Lucci on the Track “Dirty Diana.”

King Von died on November 6, 2020, at the age of 26. He was shot outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia. He died from his injuries. According to reports, the deadly shooting was sparked by a fight in a parking lot. Two others were killed in the altercation. King Von was 5ft 9in tall and he was of African-American descent.
