Jason Hiatt, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric surgeon with nearly 20 years of experience. He sees patients at two Bay Area Foot Care locations in Oakland and Walnut Creek, California.
Dr. Hiatt earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He graduated with honors from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland in 1999.
Dr. Hiatt completed his residency in foot and ankle reconstruction at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers in Fremont and Hayward, California, and his fellowship in sports medicine at the Center for Sports Medicine at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. He is board-certified in foot and ankle reconstruction by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Hiatt is passionate about sports medicine. In fact, his interest in podiatry first began when he suffered an injury while playing high school basketball and a foot and ankle surgeon helped him get back in the game.
He specializes in diagnosing sports injuries and finding the right treatment to get athletes back to the activities they enjoy following an injury. He has extensive training in sports medicine, tendon pathology, and arthroscopic surgery.
Dr. Hiatt is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He has practiced podiatry in the Bay Area since 2003.
In his free time, Dr. Hiatt loves spending time outdoors with his family. His favorite hobbies include biking and hiking.
