7 Days to Die's Gyrocopter is definitely one of the game's most useful tools, and probably the best mobility item of them all. It allows you to fly around the map, easily accessing different areas. You'll even be able to get to them from the sky, a high vantage point, letting you land on roofs and granting you some safety as well as access to great loot on those very roofs. While you won't get the item until late in the game, it's one that you'll want to use often once you get it. Here's how to fly the Gyrocopter in 7 Days to Die.
7 Days to Die Gyrocopter Controls Explained
Once you've got the vehicle fueled up and ready to go, take the Gyrocopter out into an open area - you'll need some room to get off the ground and gain momentum once you start out. Make sure you have plenty of space to get going.
Hold W to move. Once you've gained momentum, continue holding W W and then tap Spacebar to get off of the ground; tap it repeatedly to fly up at a higher angle, but don't go too high as you'll just end up taking a nose dive. It's usually best just to tap once, as that'll take you to a good cruising height.
It's easy to control the Gyrocopter once you're up in the air, so you can go the direction you want to go; just use WASD. Depending on which mode you're using, your Gyrocopter will either go straight or move according to the angle of your camera, so be sure to pay attention to which mode you're in and switch them if you need to. To land, use C and guide the helicopter into the ground.
How To Fly The Gyrocopter In 7 Days to Die
To get into the Gyrocopter, you'll use the same button as other vehicles - just walk up to the pilot's seat, and press E. But before you fly your Gyrocopter, you'll need to keep a few things in mind, and perhaps make some preparations depending on what resources you already have at your disposal.
The most important thing to note is that the Gyrocopter needs fuel to run, so fuel it up before you take off. Once you've got that covered, you can hop into your Gyrocopter and get going - but it's best to understand the Gyrocopter's controls first.
